Beijing: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecast clear skies with the possibility of thunderstorm rain on the mountainous highlands over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center explained in its weather bulletin that conditions in the mountainous highlands will be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of thunderstorm rain in the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, and Rima, and scattered rain in parts of the governorates of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, western Sana'a, and Dhamar during the afternoon and evening periods.
The center pointed out that conditions in coastal areas will be clear to partly cloudy, hot and humid, with maximum temperatures on the coastal plains and coastal areas ranging between 36 and 43 degrees Celsius. Winds will be moderate in speed, occasionally active on the eastern coasts and around the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds ranging between 15 and 34 knots.
In desert areas, conditions will be clear, hot to extremely hot, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37 and 45 degrees Celsius, and light to moderate winds that may occasionally stir up dust and sand.
The National Center for Meteorology warned citizens in desert areas, plains, and coastal areas of hot and extremely hot weather, advising them to drink plenty of fluids and avoid direct exposure to sunlight during the afternoon. It also warned seafarers and fishermen of sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago and eastern coasts. Additionally, it cautioned citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall about the possibility of flash floods in valleys and watercourses during and after rainfall.
