Weather Forecast Predicts Scattered Thunderstorms and High Temperatures Across Various Regions

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects scattered thunderstorms on the mountain highlands and hot weather in the plains, coastal, and desert areas over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates clear to partly cloudy weather with potential thunderstorms in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, and Rima. Scattered rain is anticipated in parts of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, and the western areas of Sana'a and Sa'dah during the afternoon and evening hours.

The plains and coastal regions can expect clear to partly cloudy, hot, and humid conditions, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37-43 degrees Celsius. Winds in these areas will be moderate, occasionally becoming active over the eastern Gulf of Aden, eastern coasts, and around the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds between 15-30 knots.

In the desert regions, the forecast predicts clear and extremely hot weather, with maximum temperatures between 38-45 degrees Celsius. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally active, and may stir up dust and sand.

The center has issued warnings for citizens in areas anticipating rainfall about the risk of flash floods in streams and valleys. They have advised against being in or crossing watercourses during and after rainfall.

Additionally, the center cautioned about hot to extremely hot weather in desert, plain, and coastal areas, recommending against direct sun exposure during the afternoon and advising to stay hydrated.

Warnings have also been issued to sea-goers and fishermen concerning sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts.
