Weather Forecast Predicts Thunderstorms, Hot Conditions Across Regions

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects scattered and varied thunderstorms in parts of several provinces, as well as hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, plains, and coastal areas over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunder is likely in parts of Ibb, Taiz, Rima, Al-Dhale'e, and Dhamar provinces. Scattered rain, possibly accompanied by thunder, is also expected in parts of Al-Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Sana'a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Sa'dah provinces, as well as the Tihama plain and the southern coasts.

The center also forecasts hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, plains, coastal areas, and interior highlands. It warned citizens in mountainous areas expecting rainfall of flash floods in streams and valleys and advised against being in or crossing watercourses during and after rainfall. Additionally, the center cautioned about hot and extremely hot conditions, advising people to drink plenty of fluids and avoid direct exposure to sunlight during the afternoon hours.
