Western Works Area in Shu’ub Hosts Event to Celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Sana'a: The Western Works Area in Shu'ub district of the capital Sana'a organized a speech event on Sunday to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was marked by speeches from notable figures such as AlHamoud Al-Naqeeb, Head of the Social Affairs Committee in Sana'a, and Engineer Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, the Capital's Deputy Governor for Public Works and Projects. They emphasized the importance of celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, who is revered for guiding humanity from darkness into light. They highlighted that this celebration reflects the Yemeni people's deep connection to the Prophet and their commitment to adhering to his teachings.

Both Al-Naqeeb and Al-Houthi called for widespread and active participation in the grand central celebration at Al-Sabeen Square. They noted that such participation would underscore the significance of the occasion and demonstrate the Yemeni people's dedication to the Prophet's path and the Holy Quran.

Director of the Western Works Area, Engineer Mutahar Al-Hakim, along with cultural activist Dr. Abdulkarim Jabhan, also addressed the gathering. They stressed the importance of strengthening the connection with the Prophet Muhammad by following his example and teachings, which promote values such as cooperation, solidarity, benevolence, and responsibility in serving society.

The speakers noted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday offers a spiritual opportunity to reflect on his morals and values, encouraging followers to pursue his righteous path in facing challenges and reinforcing their faith-based identity. They urged broad participation in the major celebration.

The event was enriched with devotional chants and theatrical performances, which highlighted the significance of the occasion and added a vibrant cultural touch to the celebrations.
