Mahweet: The Women's Authority in Mahweet organized a cultural event Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event's speeches highlighted key moments and events in the life of Imam Hussein, his revolution against the tyranny of the Umayyad dynasty, and the faith and humanity it represented in confronting deviation and defending the religion and its authentic values and principles.
They emphasized that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) set examples of sacrifice and selflessness in the pursuit of truth, embodying in his revolution the meanings of honor, dignity, freedom, and the refusal to submit to tyrants and oppressors.
The speeches also pointed to the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from the life of Imam Hussein and strengthening awareness of the importance of confronting the challenges and dangers targeting the Islamic nation, its identity, and its values.
They addressed the crimes, massacres, and ongoing violations committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as the attacks targeting the Lebanese people, denouncing the international silence and UN inaction regarding these crimes.
