Sanhan: The Women's Development Department in Sanhan and Bani Bahlul District, Sana'a Governorate, organized a speech and cultural event today to commemorate Ashura - the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
According to Yemen News Agency, Rajwa Al-Arar, Head of the Awareness and Education Department in the governorate, emphasized the significance of the tragedy of Karbala and the calamity of the 10th of Muharram, highlighting the lasting impact of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his family on the nation.
Al-Arar pointed out that the Yemeni people, along with the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, are currently facing a tragedy similar to Karbala due to the crimes and siege imposed by external forces, notably those led by America and the Zionist enemy.
She further stressed the importance of returning to the path of Imam Hussein, emulating his example to overcome the current state of defeat resulting from conspiracies by the nation's adversaries. The event featured speeches praising Imam Hussein's character, his sacrifices, and his courage in confronting injustice and tyranny. These speeches also addressed those who deviated from the Prophet Muhammad's message and highlighted Imam Hussein's efforts to rectify the religious course according to Allah's will for humanity.
The event concluded with expressive chants, underscoring the cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion.
