Al hodeidah: Women's events were held across Al Hodeidah Governorate on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein under the slogan "Never to Humiliation," organized by the governorate's Women's Authority.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events took place in seven venues across Al Mina, Al Hali, Az Zaydiyah, Al Maghlaf, Bajil, Ad Durayhimi, and At Tuhayat districts. Participants highlighted the values of Karbala, displaying banners and flags symbolizing Imam Hussein's sacrifice alongside images of fallen leaders.
Speakers reviewed Imam Hussein's virtues and linked the lessons of Karbala to contemporary challenges, emphasizing that Yemeni women draw inspiration from Sayyidah Zainab's example of dignity, resilience, and steadfastness.
The addresses described Ashura as a moral and revolutionary school that underscores the role of women in struggle, awareness-building, and preserving identity. They also expressed solidarity with Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, portraying their struggles as a continuation of the spirit of Karbala.
Participants reaffirmed support for the positions of Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi and voiced full backing for his statement on the occasion of the 1448 AH Hijri New Year, including his call to end aggression and the blockade.
The events concluded with participants renewing their commitment to the path of Imam Hussein and stressing the continued role of Yemeni women in raising awareness, supporting national causes, contributing to the nation's dignity and resilience.
