Women’s Rally Held in Sana’a to Mark Imam Zaid’s Martyrdom Anniversary

Sana'a: A large women's rally was held in the capital, Sana'a, on Friday to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali. The event was organized by the Women's General Mobilization Authority and reaffirmed commitment to the Qur'anic path, steadfastness, and support for the Yemeni Armed Forces' statement.

According to Yemen News Agency, cultural activist Hanaa Al-Mahaqri reviewed Imam Zaid's life, struggle, and the lessons of his uprising against injustice and tyranny, highlighting his commitment to promoting virtue and resisting wrongdoing. She said Imam Zaid's movement was rooted in the Qur'an and reflected his sacrifices to reform the nation and correct misconceptions. She added that his revolution continues to inspire awareness, dignity, and resistance to oppression.

A statement issued at the event expressed full support for the Yemeni Armed Forces and their military operations, rejected the continued blockade on Yemen, and warned that any violation of Yemen's sovereignty would receive a decisive response. The statement also declared solidarity with Iran, praised the resilience of its people, reaffirmed unity against what it described as the U.S.-Israeli project, and stressed coordination among members of the "Axis of Resistance."

It further called for continued public mobilization, greater preparedness, adherence to the Qur'anic path, ongoing support for the Palestinian cause, Gaza, unity until victory and the liberation of all Yemeni territory.
