Meteorology Predicts Thunderstorms and Rainfall Across Several Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast thunderstorms of varying intensity and scattered rainfall over parts of several governorates during the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected over parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Dhamar, Sana'a, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, western Saada, and parts of the Tihama Plain.

Scattered rainfall is also likely over parts of Al-Bayda Governorate, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, parts of the eastern coasts, and the Socotra Archipelago. The center warned citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall of flash floods in ravines and valleys and against being present in or crossing their paths during and after rainfall, as well as of the dangers of thunderstorms.
