Taiz: A training and coordination workshop was held on Saturday in Al-Taiziyah District, Taiz Governorate, for managers of productive family development centers, focusing on sustainable development guidelines.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was organized by the Development Sector under the supervision of the local authority and Al-Taiziyah Cooperative Society. It brought together 19 trainees from centers in Qiyadh, Al-Jaadi, Upper Jundiyah, and Lower Jundiyah to develop planning and operational skills based on value-chain methodologies.
Deputy Governor for Development Affairs Abdul-Wasea Al-Shamsi emphasized the importance of operating the centers using available resources and focusing on the economic empowerment of rural women. He mentioned that local authorities are supporting the centers by providing technical assistance and production inputs through interest-free loans and partnerships with the business sector.
Participants engaged in discussions on improving production chains, organizing and marketing products, securing raw materials, and promoting local products through media campaigns. The workshop underscored the importance of strengthening productive families, helping them meet local market needs while improving product quality and self-sufficiency.
