Sana'a: A training and orientation workshop was held on Monday in Ibb Governorate for the members of the support team tasked with preparing the integrated participatory strategic and executive plan. The initiative involves representatives from the governorate, service offices, and executive bodies collaborating on a three-year integrated participatory strategic plan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop addressed the distribution plans for the field researchers trained in the districts, focusing on local population clusters. A total of 611 field researchers have been assigned across all districts as per the approved distribution plan. The session also reviewed the integrated development work model and the Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) methodology, which is being utilized by field teams and researchers in the districts. Key targets of the governorate's strategic and executive plan, along with the roles and responsibilities of the support team, were discussed in detail. These responsibilities include reviewing and refining district-submitted plans based on an analysis of the current situation and stage priorities.
During the workshop, Governorate Secretary General Amin Al-Warafi presented the plan preparation program, highlighting the outputs of the training workshops for the main district teams and central committees in the governorate. He detailed the roles and responsibilities of the committees formed at both the governorate and district levels. Al-Warafi emphasized that the plans are founded on directives from Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, which emphasize agricultural development, economic empowerment, strengthening local communities, and transforming families into productive societal contributors.
Al-Warafi further explained that the three-year strategic plan aims to unify and coordinate official and community efforts during this critical phase, with current priorities focusing on achieving self-sufficiency and efficiently developing and utilizing available local resources.
Planning Sector Officer Kamal Al-Harithi discussed the training schedule for all districts in the governorate, the progress report for districts that have completed training, and their transition to implementing the field survey using the PRA methodology. He also covered the support and facilitation provided to them in the field according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development.
