Al-mahwit: The Executive Office in Al-Mahwit convened on Monday under the leadership of Dr. Ali Al-Zikam, Secretary-General of the Local Council, to evaluate financial and administrative performance levels and discuss preparations for the upcoming Ramadan program.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the participation of governorate deputies Hamoud Shamlan and Ahmed Al-Qatma, focused on reviewing the final accounts report for the 2024 fiscal year. Discussions centered around the degree of compliance with approved plans and budgets. Emphasis was placed on developing a comprehensive plan for the Ramadan program, outlining activities and responsibilities for each entity to ensure effective field follow-up and implementation, in alignment with leadership directives aimed at bolstering institutional work and enhancing public services.
Dr. Al-Zikam underscored the necessity of adhering to financial laws and regulations, addressing any shortcomings, and fostering transparency and accountability in managing public resources. This approach aims to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens and optimize the use of available resources. He also stressed the need for coordination among relevant executive offices and the importance of early readiness for implementing the Ramadan program to meet the needs of citizens during the holy month, ensuring the continuity of essential services particularly in the service, supply, and health sectors.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Zikam highlighted the need for integrated efforts between the local authority and executive offices, as well as intensifying work in the forthcoming phase to improve institutional performance and ensure the success of Ramadan programs and activities within the constraints of available resources.
