Sa'ada: The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Sa'ada Governorate launched a field inspection campaign focused on markets and the control of prices and supply violations within the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Al-Ba'dani, highlighted the need for intensified market inspections to control prices and weights, preventing manipulation or monopolization of essential commodities as a measure to protect citizens and achieve supply discipline. He called on merchants and shop owners to cooperate with inspection teams, adhere to officially approved pricing, and display pricing lists openly, especially with Ramadan approaching.
Al-Ba'dani acknowledged the Economy Office's efforts in maintaining supply stability, ensuring the availability of essential food commodities and goods, and controlling prices. He emphasized the importance of maintaining price and supply stability to protect consumers from exploitation and fraud.
During the campaign launch, Khaled Al-Thiban, Director of the Economy Office in Sa'ada, stated that the initiative, in collaboration with local authorities, aims to manage pricing violations and commercial fraud, referring violators to the appropriate authorities. The campaign includes awareness programs focused on boycotting products from countries and companies supporting the Zionist entity.
