Taiz: A training workshop for activity trainers in summer camps, titled 'My Health Lies in My Awareness,' began on Thursday in Taiz Governorate. It is organized by the Health and Environment Office in coordination with the Mobilization Department in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day workshop, dubbed 'Health Ambassadors,' aims to prepare health cadres, educators, and trainers to carry out awareness and training activities in summer camps, enhancing health and environmental awareness among children and youth. At the opening, the governorate's Mobilization official, Mohammed Al-Khulaidi, praised the level of cooperation and coordination among government entities in supporting summer programs, stressing the pivotal role of summer schools in building a generation fortified with awareness and values. He noted that the workshop is part of a series of intensive activities taking place in the governorate to promote Quranic culture and health awareness.
For his part, the Deputy Director of the Health and Environment Office, Dr. Fadl Al-Qubati, explained that the workshop aims to equip participants with the latest training methods to effectively deliver health knowledge to summer camp students, ensuring tangible outcomes that improve the quality of implemented activities. In the same context, the School Health official at the Health Office, Dr. Dhiban Mohammed, emphasized that trainers bear the responsibility of educating students on health and preventive awareness, describing the step as 'a fundamental building block' in developing a generation with sufficient health literacy to protect themselves and their community.
Meanwhile, the Director of Medical Services at the Health Office, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abbasi, stressed that the office places great importance on training and qualification to ensure building a health-aware society capable of addressing current challenges.
