Hodeidah: The National University in Hodeidah organized a specialized workshop on Monday to showcase projects and software programs developed by Information Technology students under the slogan, 'Our Outcomes Meet the Needs of Our Institutions and Society.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the event brought together government and academic leaders, private sector representatives, and development partners. At the opening session, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Hulaisi praised the National University's pioneering role in keeping pace with modern technological and scientific advancements. He stressed the importance of supporting outstanding students, nurturing their innovations, and providing them with comprehensive training and qualification opportunities to help build competitive national cadres capable of contributing effectively to development and reconstruction efforts.
For his part, University President Dr. Ahmed Faraj affirmed the university's commitment to promoting creativity and innovation and aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs, thereby preparing qualified graduates equipped with technical and professional skills. He also commended the support provided by the Hayel Saeed Anam Group and Partners for the educational process, highlighting the regional director's continued interest in supporting talented youth, encouraging educational and development initiatives in Hodeidah.
During the workshop, a number of technological programs and projects developed by Information Technology students were presented, reflecting the academic and practical skills fostered by the university, as well as the use of digital solutions to serve institutions and community needs. At the conclusion of the event, the university honored participating companies, institutions, and guests with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their support for education, encouragement of student innovation, and backing of academic initiatives.
The workshop was attended by Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office Abdulrahman Al-Sayegh, Director of the Skills Development Fund Khalifa Al-Humaidi, Technical Education Officer Hassan Hadish and his deputy Yasser Al-Hattami, Regional Director of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group and Partners in Hodeidah Marwan Abduldaem, the Group's Human Resources Director Majed Al-Qubati, and Wael Al-Hakimi, representative of the Arab Company for Grain Silos.
