Sana'a: A workshop was held on Wednesday in Bani Hashish District, Sana'a Governorate, to train facilitators of production groups in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was organized by the Bani Hashish Cooperative Association for Multiple Purposes in coordination with the local authority, the district mobilization office, and Binyan Development Institutions. The goal was to qualify 30 facilitators, heads of village associations, by enhancing their skills in managing and activating production groups.
The workshop also aimed to activate the association's service center in the district, update and complete data entry for group members according to survey forms, and raise awareness about the importance of mobilizing people to join the district association. It emphasized the necessity of monitoring farmers and ensuring continuous coordination in providing agricultural guidance through organized sessions, as well as supplying agricultural inputs via the district cooperative development association.
During the workshop, District Director Rajeh Al-Hanmi highlighted the significance of activating the role of production groups and village associations in coordination with the district cooperative association to provide agricultural and advisory services. He stressed the importance of teamwork and viewing cooperative and developmental work as a frontline in addressing external challenges.
The event was attended by district mobilization officer Waleed Al-'Arkada and governorate coordinator Abdul Wahid Jaghman. Remarks were made by Binyan Foundation Coordinator in the district Saif Al-Saqa and Association President Ali Al-'Idar, noting that the workshop is part of a comprehensive plan to strengthen the role of facilitators in promoting agricultural activity, serving farmers, and building their capacity to address agricultural challenges.
