Sanaa: As Yemen marks the tenth anniversary of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression and blockade, the Yemeni people complete a decade under siege and bombardment-an aggression that has been the primary cause of the crises, suffering, and hardships that have affected all aspects of life in the country.
According to Yemen News Agency, despite the devastation and destruction of Yemen's infrastructure and economy, and the denial of 30 million Yemenis of their right to basic goods and services, the aggression has failed to break the spirit of the Yemeni people or derail their path to liberation, which began on September 21, 2014.
The aggressive campaign commenced on March 26, 2015, with the primary objective to crush the Yemeni revolution initiated in 2014. The coalition, spearheaded by Saudi Arabia, included over 17 nations, notably the U.S. and the UK, aiming to restore Yemen to the American-Saudi-Emirati sphere of influence. The coalition's efforts were met with resistance, as their operations only resulted in the suffering of the Yemeni populace and the occupation of parts of their land.
Over the years, Yemen has demonstrated resilience against the relentless bombing, destruction, and blockade. This period has also revealed the weaknesses of the aggressor nations, highlighting their failed military strategies and inability to subdue Yemen with mercenaries or arms deals.
Contrary to expectations, Yemen's military capabilities have been strengthened due to the aggression and blockade. The nation has acquired advanced military expertise and developed indigenous weapons, transitioning from a defensive stance to an offensive one. Yemen now possesses strategic deterrence weapons capable of striking deep into aggressor states, marking a significant shift in the balance of deterrence.
Yemen has also emerged as a steadfast supporter of Palestine, challenging the U.S. and Israel directly. Under the leadership of Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, Yemen has become a symbol of courage and sacrifice, inspiring liberation movements across the region.
America's continued aggression targeting Yemen's civilian infrastructure is viewed as a desperate attempt to save face. The Yemeni people and global free nations see the American aggression as evidence of Yemen's influence in supporting Palestine, despite U.S. and Israeli efforts to stop Yemen's strategic blockade of the Zionist entity.
