Sanaa: Ramadan evenings were held to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and the day of national steadfastness.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events were organized at various locations including the 82nd Brigade in the province, the Central Correctional Facility, Al-Akiya and Ruba Masoud in Bani Qais, Nisa in Mughraba, Al-Kababa in Najra, Shiras al-Asfal, Al-Shamma and Al-Habal in Qara, and Jabal Aslam. Speeches were delivered by the provincial security director, Brigadier General Hassan Al-Qasimi, the director of the Mubin Directorate, Mansour Hamza, and several culturalists. They emphasized the importance of commemorating Imam Ali’s anniversary to draw lessons from his courage and sacrifice, and to follow his path against oppressive forces.
The speakers highlighted Imam Ali’s virtues, his knowledge and wisdom, his positions, and his jihad in supporting the Islamic religion. They discussed his opposition to tyrants and polytheists, and his defense of the right and the oppressed.
The speeches called for the Ummah to return to God and the Holy Qur’an, adhere to the Muhammadan methodology, the family of the Prophet, and the flags of guidance. They also stressed the importance of raising awareness about the plots of aggression forces, continuing general mobilization to confront enemies, and supporting summer courses to ensure their success.
