Sanaa:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates declared that the "Al-Aqsa Flood" is a result of long-standing occupation, blockades, and violence against the Palestinian people, as well as international negligence in addressing these issues.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry's statement, issued on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood, criticized the ongoing war crimes and genocide against Palestinians, noting over 74,000 deaths and 175,000 injuries, predominantly among women and children. It stressed the destruction of infrastructure and severe human suffering.
The statement emphasized that despite these adversities, the Palestinian resistance has succeeded in highlighting their cause globally and disrupting plans for normalization. It affirmed the Palestinians' right to self-defense and highlighted the support from resistance movements such as Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Axis of Resistance.
The Ministry praised the resilience of the Palestinian people and acknowledged the support from various nations and individuals who back the Palestinian cause. It urged the international community to act against the aggression in Gaza and end the occupation.
The statement also highlighted Yemen's commitment to supporting Palestine, driven by moral, religious, and humanitarian obligations, despite facing its own challenges. The Ministry reiterated its backing of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation and confirmed Yemen's unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause.
