Taiz: The Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization carried out field inspections of local factories in Taiz Governorate on Thursday as part of its 2026 inspection plan to verify compliance with approved standards and improve the quality of national products.
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the organization's Taiz branch, Riyadh Al-Bukhaiti, stated that the inspections aim to ensure factories comply with approved production standards and quality requirements. Random samples were collected from production lines for laboratory testing at the organization's laboratories to verify product conformity.
Al-Bukhaiti added that inspection teams also checked the calibration of weighing and measuring instruments, conducted routine inspections of production facilities, and documented violations detected during the campaign in preparation for legal action against offenders.
He further emphasized that the campaign is part of the organization's efforts to enhance the competitiveness of locally manufactured products, improve their quality by providing technical support and guidance to factories, promoting compliance with national standards, supporting the national economy, and meeting consumer needs.
