Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted cold weather across Yemen's mountain highlands over the next 24 hours, with the coldest conditions expected during nighttime and early morning in the regions of Sa'ada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhale, and northern Ibb.
According to Yemen News Agency, temperatures in Jawf, Marib, Hadramout, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Mahweet, and Hajjah provinces are expected to be relatively cold. There is a possibility of scattered afternoon and evening showers over parts of the western highlands. Coastal areas are predicted to experience clear to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of light rain along the eastern and southern coasts and Socotra. Winds could reach speeds of up to 30 knots over the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, leading to rough sea conditions.
In desert regions, nights are expected to be clear and relatively cold, accompanied by occasional dust-raising winds. The center has advised residents in the highland areas, particularly the elderly, children, and outdoor workers, to take necessary precautions against the cold. Additionally, fishermen and sailors are warned of the rough seas off the southern western coast and Bab al-Mandab.
