Sana'a: This morning, at 5:20 AM, a formation of Saudi warplanes violated Yemeni airspace in an effort to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sana'a International Airport. The aircraft was transporting more than 200 stranded, wounded, and sick citizens. The incident occurred amid an ongoing blockade on Yemen that has spanned nearly 11 years. Thanks to the Yemeni Armed Forces, the Saudi warplanes were intercepted and forced to leave Yemeni airspace after being targeted with air defense missiles.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Yemeni Armed Forces issued a stern warning to Saudi Arabia against any further attempts to violate Yemeni airspace or engage in aggression. The forces emphasized that such actions would be met with a comprehensive response targeting Saudi airports and vital interests.
The armed forces also declared their refusal to accept the continuation of the Saudi-American blockade indefinitely, vowing to take legitimate steps to end it. The Yemeni populace is urged to maintain mobilization and combat readiness in response to the call of their leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
In addition, the armed forces reiterated their preparedness for any options their leader may decide upon, indicating their readiness to act against the blockade and occupation. They also stressed the importance of ending the siege and control over Sana'a International Airport, commending Iran's initiative to break the siege and assist those in need.
Flights between Sana'a and Tehran are set to continue, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, despite potential consequences and repercussions.
