Riyadh:The Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted military operations against several sites in Saudi Arabia, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Aramco refinery in Rabigh, and Abha Airport.
According to Yemen News Agency, the strikes were a response to recent Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks on Yemen, which reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children. The Yemeni forces reported that the total number of Saudi attacks has reached 1,576 since the escalation began.
The Yemeni military operations involved ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. The attack on King Khalid International Airport was described as precise, causing disruptions to air traffic. Similarly, the Aramco refinery strike led to a fire, while other operations targeted Khamis Mushait Air Base and additional sites in Asir, Najran, and Jizan.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have issued a warning to international airlines to avoid using Saudi airspace, declaring it a zone of operations, with the exception of the sacred airspace over Mecca and Medina. They stated that they hold no responsibility for any consequences should this warning be ignored.
The Armed Forces expressed confidence in their ability to confront the Saudi escalation, emphasizing their preparedness and determination to defend Yemen.
