Yemeni Election Committee Hosts Rally Against Aggression and Blockade

Sanaa:The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum held a rally on Wednesday to support the Yemeni people and oppose the ongoing aggression and blockade that has affected Yemen for 12 years. The event was organized under the theme 'Mobilization and Preparedness to Confront Escalation with Escalation.'

According to Yemen News Agency, participants at the rally condemned the Saudi-led actions against Yemeni civilians, including women and children, and called for efforts to lift the blockade. They emphasized their stance on regional issues, notably the Palestinian cause and the protection of Islamic holy sites in Makkah and Madinah.

A statement released at the rally announced a general mobilization of personnel and arms to counter Saudi aggression. It highlighted recent attacks, such as the targeting of Taiz Central Market at Ma'awiya Junction, and reiterated support for the armed forces and leadership. The statement advocated for continuing the strategy of 'blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation' until Yemen's rights and resources are restored.

The rally also expressed renewed support for Gaza and the Palestinian resistance, urging those misled to rejoin the national ranks under a presidential amnesty. It emphasized the Yemeni people's ongoing commitment to supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic holy sites until what it called Israeli violations cease.
