Sanaa: Millions of Yemeni citizens took to the streets in massive demonstrations across the capital Sanaa and other governorates, marking what has been termed the "Friday of Warning and Mobilization." The protests, which were too large for the public squares and fields to contain, were organized in response to a call from the Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi. The aim was to send a clear message to Saudi Arabia and the world that the Yemeni people's commitment to freedom, dignity, and faith-based pride is unwavering.
According to Yemen News Agency, the demonstrators issued a final warning to the Saudi regime, demanding an end to its interference in Yemen's internal affairs. They emphasized that under the leadership of Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, the Yemeni people would never succumb to submission or surrender, nor would they accept any infringement on their freedom and dignity. The protests highlighted grievances dating back to 2015, including Saudi control over Yemeni airports and ports, restrictions on Yemeni travel, and the deprivation of the country's sovereign rights.
The participants expressed a firm rejection of continued aggression, blockades, and any form of dominance by the Saudi regime. They asserted that the Yemeni people, as a free Muslim nation, would not bow to external pressures. The chants of the crowds echoed sentiments of readiness for Jihad and a defense of Yemen's sovereignty and independence. They also expressed solidarity with the Leader's recent speech, vowing to target Saudi oil and vital facilities if aggression against Yemen continues.
The demonstrators criticized Saudi actions, particularly the obstruction of a civilian aircraft at Sana'a International Airport, labeling it as a deliberate attempt to exacerbate Yemeni suffering. They held Saudi Arabia accountable for the blockade and called for the expulsion of invaders and occupiers from Yemen. The protests ended with a call for the Yemeni armed forces to deliver a significant response to the aggression, emphasizing that patience with Saudi policies is running thin.
The mass gatherings underscored the Yemeni people's resolve to fight for freedom and independence, free from Saudi and external influence.
