Beijing: Unprecedented mass rallies were staged on Friday at Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square in Ibb province and in its district squares under the slogan "Friday of Warning and Mobilization," in response to a call by the revolutionary leader Sayyed Abdull-Malik al-Houthi, expressing opposition to the blockade and affirming commitment to freedom and dignity.
According to Yemen News Agency, the rallies, led by Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah, Local Council Secretary-General Amin Al-Warafi, members of Parliament, and the Shura Council, declared readiness to confront any escalation. They emphasized unity and internal cohesion in facing current challenges.
The demonstrators reaffirmed their commitment to continued mobilization and preparedness for the battle to end the blockade and aggression, defend Yemen, and preserve its sovereignty and independence. They asserted that attempts to undermine the will of the Yemeni people would fail in light of continued popular and official solidarity and growing national awareness.
The crowds stated their participation reflected a steadfast public position in defense of sovereignty and legitimate rights, stressing that Yemenis remain committed to resilience, steadfastness, and rejecting all forms of foreign domination and guardianship. They described freedom and dignity as fundamental values that cannot be compromised.
Participants highlighted that the current stage requires greater unity and public awareness to confront ongoing challenges, noting that the Yemeni people have demonstrated resilience over the past years and will not accept the continuation of the blockade or attempts to influence their national decision-making.
The rallies emphasized that the large turnout reflected popular determination to end the blockade and the humanitarian suffering associated with it, adding that difficult conditions would not deter Yemenis from pursuing their legitimate rights. They stressed the determination and resilience needed to overcome challenges, calling for stronger social solidarity and continued efforts to safeguard national interests and promote stability.
The crowds reiterated their commitment to maintaining their national stance, upholding the principles of freedom and dignity, and continuing public mobilization in various arenas to confront challenges and pursue the aspirations of the Yemeni people. Banners rejecting the blockade and military campaign were carried, and slogans emphasizing steadfastness, resilience, freedom, and dignity were chanted, reaffirming determination to continue public action against any attempts to undermine Yemen's sovereignty and independence.
The rallies declared their full authorization for Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi to take necessary decisions to protect Yemen's sovereignty, reopen all Yemeni airports and seaports, end the blockade, and restore the country's oil revenues and sovereign resources. They described the public turnout during a critical phase as an act of religious devotion and a demonstration of commitment to monotheism, rejecting submission to the forces of tyranny, represented by the United States, Britain, and Israeli enemy, as well as "their regional instrument, the Saudi government."
The rallies emphasized that the Yemeni people, together with their tribes, armed forces, and all sectors of society, place their dignity and independence above all else and reject remaining under an unjust blockade or conspiracies aimed at starving the population and undermining Yemen's sovereign decision-making. They declared that sacrifice and martyrdom were preferable to accepting subjugation to Saudi Arabia and its American and Israeli allies.
Expressions of loyalty to Sayyed al-Houthi and readiness for sacrifice were cited, with reference to a historical statement attributed to the Ansar in support of the Prophet Muhammad as an expression of commitment. The rallies warned the Saudi-led coalition against continuing its actions, asserting that the Yemeni people would regard the continuation of the blockade and economic pressure as an act of war.
The rallies called on Yemen's armed forces to intensify their military response under the principle of reciprocal punishment, blockade for blockade, airport for airport, while affirming readiness to support military fronts with continued mobilization and sacrifices. Appreciation was expressed to Iran for its humanitarian initiative to help break the blockade by operating civilian flights to transport patients, the wounded, and stranded Yemenis, praising Tehran's longstanding support for oppressed peoples.
Finally, the rallies reaffirmed the Yemeni people's unwavering moral and religious commitment to the Palestinian cause, support for Gaza and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran, and other members of the Axis of Resistance until achieving promised victory.
