Yemen’s Economy Ministry Celebrates 12th Anniversary of September 21 Revolution

Sanaa: Yemen's Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment and its affiliated agencies held a ceremony in Sanaa marking the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. Acting Minister Sam Al-Bashiri emphasized that the revolution reflected popular aspirations to end corruption, dependency, and foreign domination. He highlighted the ministry's commitment to advancing economic independence through local industrialization, supporting domestic production, and reducing reliance on imports.

According to Yemen News Agency, progress has been achieved toward self-sufficiency in several goods, including dairy products, legumes, sauces, and juices. Officials at the ceremony reaffirmed their support for the revolution's goals and national economic policies, underscoring the significance of these efforts in achieving economic autonomy.

The ceremony also featured a documentary titled "September 21: Independence and Self-Sufficiency," along with poetry and performances. These highlighted the anniversary and celebrated the achievements of the revolution, reflecting on the journey toward a more self-reliant Yemen.
