Sana'a: The Ministry of Youth and Sports and Yemen Telecommunications teams have reached the final of the ninth Yemen Telecom Corporate Football Championship, organized by the Corporate Sports Federation under the sponsorship of Yemen Telecommunications. The Youth and Sports Ministry secured its place in the final after defeating CAC Bank 3-2 in today's semifinal at the Recreational Club stadium.
According to Yemen News Agency, Jalal Al-Qata scored in the 18th minute and Waleed Al-Radhi in the 40th, with CAC Bank's third goal resulting from an own goal in the 48th minute. Mutlaq Al-Saidi and Zakaria Al-Ayani scored for CAC Bank in the 42nd and 50th minutes, respectively. Yemen Telecommunications claimed the second final berth with a 3-0 victory over the General Authority for Zakat. Mohammed Juhaf, Mahdi Al-Kuwaili, and Hisham Aqlan scored in the 33rd, 38th, and 50th minutes, respectively.
The final between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Yemen Telecommunications will be held next Saturday. Meanwhile, the tournament's organizing committee has issued a series of disciplinary decisions and penalties against players and teams for violations of the competition regulations.
The committee expelled three players from all future federation tournaments due to serious violations: Ibrahim Tarboush of the Ministry of Electricity and Water, Ismail Al-Radmi of the Public Prosecution, and Ahmed Al-Yamani of the Facilities Police. It also suspended Yemen Telecommunications player Waleed Aqlan for one match and issued him a warning. Final warnings were issued to several other players, with all participants urged to comply with the regulations and maintain sportsmanship.
Financial penalties were also announced, with fines of YER 50,000 each for the Public Prosecution and Ministry of Electricity and Water teams, and YER 50,000 each for Yemen Telecommunications and the Facilities Police. The Military Cardiac Center team was fined YER 30,000. The organizing committee has urged all participating teams and players to uphold sportsmanship, respect the tournament's rules and regulations, and contribute to its successful completion.
