Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Nasser on Thursday inaugurated the fingerprint system in the Ministry's General Office. The inauguration is part of the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development's plan, which has been approved by the Council of Ministers, to implement a biometric fingerprint verification project.
According to Yemen News Agency, the technical team at the Ministry of Civil Service started installing and operating the fingerprint station for the Ministry of Youth's office and the Youth and Youth Welfare Fund. They have commenced recording data and fingerprints of the Ministry's leaders, employees, and those associated with the Fund.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized the significance of this development, highlighting its alignment with government objectives to enhance human resources systems and uphold job discipline across public service units. This initiative aims to modernize the administrative control system, boost institutional performance efficiency, improve administrative operations, reinforce job discipline, and streamline procedures.
He further remarked that the adoption of these modern technologies is a crucial step towards addressing administrative inefficiencies. It also plays a vital role in establishing an accurate and reliable database for all government sector employees.
