Sana'a: The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlid, honored Captain Mohammed Rawa'h, President of the Yemeni Wushu Kung Fu Federation, following his election as First Vice President of the Arab Federation for the sport. The elections took place in Cairo, Egypt, last May.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Abu Shawsa and Undersecretary for Sports Affairs Ali Hadban. Dr. Al-Mawlid emphasized that recognizing sports talents serves as a tribute to the nation and acknowledges the efforts of federations committed to elevating Yemen's presence in regional and international arenas.
Dr. Al-Mawlid further noted the ministry's ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that develop Yemeni sports. He highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for athletes to engage in international competitions and achieve commendable results. Additionally, he stressed the significance of teamwork and the importance of following outstanding examples within various federations.
Deputy Minister Nabih Abu Shawsa also expressed pride in Yemeni representation within the Arab sports leadership. He affirmed that Captain Mohammed Rawa'h's appointment to this esteemed position reflects the confidence, skill, and potential of Yemeni talents to excel and compete on a broader stage.
