Sana'a: Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlad, Minister of Youth and Sports and Deputy Head of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, visited the Summer Future School for the Deaf and Mute in the Shu'ub District of the Capital Secretariat. The inspection covered both the male and female branches of the school, focusing on the initiatives designed to support students.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Al-Mawlad was joined by Iyad Al-Wail, Secretary-General of the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf and Mute, Abdul Salam Al-Asar, Projects Director of the association, and Manal Al-Qahali, Activities Coordinator. The delegation reviewed the educational and rehabilitation activities offered to students, listening to an overview provided by the school's director, Osama Sharafuddin. Sharafuddin detailed the specialized programs that aid students in communication and social integration, enabling them to understand and engage in their surroundings.
The minister and his team also examined the school's agricultural and irrigation projects, which were implemented by the ministry. Additionally, Minister Al-Mawlad instructed officials to conduct the necessary studies for renovating the school's sports field. He expressed his appreciation for the activities and programs at the summer school and lauded the school's administration and staff for their dedication to the care and development of the deaf and mute community.
Minister Al-Mawlad emphasized the need for continued efforts to enhance services for the deaf and mute community, highlighting the importance of comprehensive support and service provision.
