Youth Ministry Hosts Al-Mukalla Club for Cultural Tour of Old Sana’a

Sana'a: The General Department of Cultural and Social Activities at Yemen's Ministry of Youth and Sports in Sana'a organized a cultural and sightseeing tour on Sunday for the youth football team of Shabab Al-Mukalla Club from Hadramawt Governorate. This initiative is part of the ministry's youth programs aimed at strengthening ties among young people and introducing them to Yemen's historical and archaeological landmarks.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, members of the Al-Mukalla Club delegation explored the Grand Mosque of Old Sana'a. They learned about the mosque's history, religious significance, and archaeological importance. The site is notable for its collection of rare Islamic manuscripts and inscriptions, which exemplify the rich heritage of this historic location.

The cultural tour also included visits to several other landmarks in Old Sana'a, such as traditional markets, caravanserais, and the city's distinctive architectural treasures. Old Sana'a, known for its unique and historic architecture, holds the prestigious status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

At the conclusion of their visit, the Al-Mukalla Club delegation expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the warm reception and the enriching experience. They noted that the tour provided valuable insights into the city's archaeological landmarks and played a significant role in fostering stronger bonds among young people from different parts of Yemen.
