Sana'a: The General Authority for Zakat and the Republican Hospital in Sana'a marked the completion of two years of offering complimentary medical services to the poor and needy on Wednesday. This collaboration has been instrumental in providing essential healthcare to thousands of vulnerable citizens who otherwise have limited access to medical facilities.
According to Yemen News Agency, over the past two years, the initiative has benefited 521,000 individuals, who have received more than 5.3 million free medical services valued at YR 15 billion. This partnership has been hailed by officials as a humanitarian model that has alleviated the suffering of many, particularly in an environment where international aid remains scarce.
The Zakat Authority has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the healthcare sector and announced plans for new projects aimed at further assisting low-income patients. These initiatives include providing kidney transplants and heart surgeries, highlighting their dedication to expanding medical support for those in need.
