Zakat Authority Office in Ibb Commemorates Martyrdom of Imam Hussein

Sanaa: The Zakat Authority Office in Ibb governorate held a speech event on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, under the slogan "Humiliation Is Far From Us."

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Mohammed Zaid, Director of the Awareness and Training Department at the governorate's Zakat Authority Office, emphasized the significance of observing the anniversary to draw lessons from Imam Hussein's life. He discussed Imam Hussein's courage, generosity, and sacrifices, encouraging others to emulate his example in resisting oppression and tyranny.

Dr. Zaid elaborated on various aspects of Imam Hussein's legacy, focusing on his struggle against oppressive rulers and his refusal to accept submission and humiliation. He noted that these actions underscored the values of dignity and honor. Furthermore, Dr. Zaid mentioned that the tragedy of Karbala was a result of the Muslim community's deviation from truth and a lack of resolve, awareness, faith, and insight.

Additional speakers at the event reiterated the importance of continued resilience amid ongoing conflict and called for increased unity until victory is achieved. They also highlighted the martyrdom of Imam Hussein as an effort in the cause of Allah to promote virtue and oppose wrongdoing, attributing his death to the actions of the rulers of his time.
