Hodeida: A large rally was held on Wednesday by religious scholars from Hodeida province responding to the call by the revolution leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to prepare for ending the ongoing aggression and blockade. The rally was organized under the banner 'Readiness and Mobilization... to End the Aggression and Blockade.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants at the rally chanted slogans condemning the Zionist and American enemies and expressed support for the Resistance Axis. Attendees reaffirmed their steadfast commitment to supporting the oppressed and condemned the continuous aggression and blockade against the Yemeni people. They praised the revolutionary leadership's courageous stances in strengthening the axis of jihad and resistance, emphasizing the importance of unified fronts and coordinated battlefields as the best strategy to thwart enemy plans.
The scholars expressed full support for Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi's statement on the anniversary of the Prophet's Hajjra, reinforcing their determination to confront the enemies of Islam-the Zionist Jews and their Western allies-and to strengthen Islamic brotherhood within the jihad and resistance axis. Sheikh Ali al-Ahdal, head of the Scholars' Unit, highlighted that jihad in Allah's path unites mujahideen from all regions, sects, and political backgrounds across Yemen, with martyrs sacrificed through faith, sincerity, and generosity.
He stressed the need to combine military efforts with popular mobilization, including renewed military training and public demonstrations. The rally's statement, read by Sheikh Abdulbari Al-Ahdal, emphasized that confronting enemies and foiling their plots requires collective awareness and decisive action beyond mere words. It declared the Yemeni people worthy of upholding Islam's banner against the dark forces led by America and Israel and global Zionism, exposed by their crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, as well as their repeated insults to Islamic sanctities.
The statement noted the severe challenges Yemen faces due to aggression, occupation of land, control over resources like oil and gas, violations of sovereignty, the comprehensive blockade, economic warfare, and the deployment of extremists and mercenaries targeting Yemeni society. It reiterated full support for the revolution leader's call to end aggression and blockade and expressed readiness to confront any escalation by American and Israeli forces aiming to isolate Gaza or target any part of the Jihad and Resistance Axis, regional countries, or Islamic peoples.
The statement urged all Yemenis to unite within the jihad and resistance axis to break free from subjugation, aggression, and occupation, enabling Yemen to reclaim its independence, dignity, resources, and sovereignty, and to achieve a renaissance rooted in faith. Finally, it called upon all free Yemenis, from north to south, to unite in relentless efforts to liberate every inch of their homeland, restore its resources, and secure freedom and independence.
The rally included prominent figures such as First Deputy Governor Ahmed al-Bashari, Head of the Guidance Sector Abdul-Rahman al-Warfi, Vice President of Dar al-Uloom al-Sharia University Sheikh Ali Adhabi, and directors of the Endowments Authority and Youth and Sports offices, Ibrahim al-Naami and Imad al-Barai.
