Sanaa:The Zakat and Endowments and Guidance Authorities held a ceremony to honor the families of martyrs on the occasion of the 1448 AH Annual Martyrs' Anniversary. The event was organized under the slogan 'Our Martyrs Are Great; Their Blood Enriches Giving, and Our Loyalty Preserves Commitments and Illuminates the Way.'
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Head of the Endowments and Guidance Authority, Fouad Naji, stated that the anniversary serves as an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by martyrs in defense of Yemen. He highlighted that this year's commemoration occurs as Yemen encounters a critical battle between truth and falsehood, emphasizing the need to renew loyalty to the martyrs and continue in their footsteps.
Zakat Authority Undersecretary Ali Al-Saqqaf praised the martyrs for sacrificing their lives for Allah, stating that their sacrifices motivate ongoing efforts toward jihad and freedom. He emphasized the importance of preparation, sacrifice, and commitment to achieve victory and dignity. Al-Saqqaf also supported the revolutionary leadership's strategy of 'escalation for escalation and siege for siege,' advocating for an end to attacks and blockades, the liberation of all Yemeni territory, and the restoration of legitimate rights.
Sheikh Jabri Ibrahim, representing the martyrs' families, stressed the importance of following the martyrs' path, describing them as icons of pride, dignity, and victory. He noted the high status martyrs hold in Islam and cautioned against abandoning their path, betraying the homeland, or remaining silent in the face of aggression.
