Zakat Office in Hodeidah Honors Small and Medium Taxpayers for Timely Contributions

Hodeidah: The General Authority of Zakat office in Hodeidah province organized an expanded meeting to honor medium and small taxpayers who demonstrated initiative in paying Zakat. During the event, taxpayers were awarded commemorative shields as a token of appreciation for their promptness in fulfilling their Zakat obligations.

According to Yemen News Agency, Judge Hafiz Allah Zayed, the Acting Deputy of the Awareness and Communication Sector at the General Authority of Zakat, commended the taxpayers for their faith awareness and their eagerness to perform Zakat, which is a significant religious duty. He emphasized that the act of honoring these taxpayers reflects a commitment to enhancing social solidarity and purifying the wealth of Zakat payers.

Ali Al Dharafi, the Assistant Deputy of the Awareness and Communication Sector at the Authority, highlighted the positive impact of taxpayer engagement with the Authority's projects. He noted that Zakat funds directly benefit recipients among the poor and needy through the eight legitimate channels, thereby alleviating societal suffering.

Dr. Mohammed Al Mawshki, the Director General of Awareness and Media at the Zakat Authority, explained the Authority's dedication to building trust with all taxpayers. He regarded the voluntary compliance of medium and small taxpayers as exemplary in both religious and national terms.

Mohammed Haza, the Director of the Zakat Authority office in Al Hudaydah, expressed gratitude for the taxpayers' commitment and affirmed the office's ongoing efforts to implement programs that enhance Zakat awareness and benefit recipients.

The meeting concluded with the distribution of honorary shields and included poetic performances and a report on the General Authority of Zakat's efforts to serve eligible groups and bolster social solidarity initiatives in the province.
