Hodeida: Local authorities and the General Authority for Zakat launched a humanitarian campaign in the al-Salif and al-Zaidiyah districts, distributing 1,000 food baskets to impoverished families as part of the "Ramadan Ihsan" benevolence project.
According to Yemen News Agency, in al-Salif district, Director Majid Amish inaugurated the distribution of 500 baskets, stating the aid follows directives from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, to prioritize the needs of the poor and strengthen social solidarity during the holy month.
Simultaneously, in al-Zaidiyah, officials including Director Hassan al-Ahdal and Mobilization Officer Idris al-Hashibri oversaw the delivery of 500 additional units to the most vulnerable households.
Officials emphasized that the project ensures aid reaches rightful beneficiaries through Sharia-compliant channels, urging for unified official and popular efforts to alleviate the suffering of the local population under the current economic climate.
