165 Surgeries Conducted at Al-Uyun Camp in Dhamar

Wusab al-safil: 165 surgical operations were performed during the 71st free eye medicine and surgery camp, implemented by the Health Care for Affected Communities Association at Al-Ahad Rural Hospital in Wusab Al-Safil District, Dhamar Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the association, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, reported that the camp's operations, funded by the General Authority for Zakat, included 162 cataract surgeries, two pterygium surgeries, and one surgery to remove a foreign body from the cornea.

He noted that the camp, which lasted five days in coordination with the governorate's health office, aimed to alleviate the suffering of patients from poor families, providing medical services to 677 cases.

Dr. Al-Attab stated that the camp is part of efforts to enhance social solidarity and charity for the poorest and most needy groups. He commended the humanitarian role of the General Authority for Zakat and its support for the camp.
