185 Prisoners Released in Amran Following Leadership Directives

Amran:A joint committee from the Presidency and Public Prosecution has authorized the release of 185 prisoners in Amran Governorate. This decision was made as part of an initiative to review prison conditions and release eligible inmates in accordance with legal guidelines.

According to Yemen News Agency, the release follows thorough field visits to the central prison and other detention facilities. During these visits, the committee evaluated prison records, inmates' cases, detention durations, and rehabilitation programs.

Amran Chief Prosecutor Judge Hadi Ayda emphasized the Public Prosecution's commitment to releasing prisoners who have fulfilled three-quarters of their sentences in serious cases or half in less serious ones. He also mentioned the provision of legal bail for cases currently under investigation.
