Sana'a: A free eye medical camp was launched in al-Zuhrah district of Hodeida province, targeting over 1,000 patients with examinations and surgeries over five days.
According to Yemen News Agency, the camp is organized by the Grameen Yemen Foundation in coordination with the Ministry of Health. It provides free checkups, medications, and surgical procedures, including cataract removal and lens implantation. Around 350 surgeries are planned, carried out by specialized doctors.
The first two days of the camp focus on screening and identifying cases requiring surgery. This initiative builds on 25 previous camps that delivered more than 8,000 free eye surgeries, mainly benefiting low-income patients.
