4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits East of Gulf of Aden

Sanaa:East of Gulf of Aden: An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded today by the Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes.

According to Yemen News Agency, the earthquake occurred at 8:37 PM at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Engineer Muhammad Al-Houthi, head of the center, noted that the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea region are prone to seismic activity due to the ongoing geological processes, such as the opening of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as the movement of the Arabian Plate away from the African Plate.
