Sana'a:The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Ubad, led an extensive meeting to evaluate the performance of the sanitation project and its operational zones across the Capital Municipality's districts. The discussion focused on enhancing operational mechanisms and programs within the sanitation sector.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as the Executive Director of the Sanitation Fund, Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din, and the Sanitation Project Director, Ibrahim Al-Sarabi, along with his deputy Rizq Al-Hajj, and various department heads and district zone managers. They reviewed the operational strategies of the sanitation zones and addressed methods to improve sanitation work across streets and neighborhoods, as well as strategies to overcome existing challenges.
Mayor Ubad emphasized the importance of improving operational mechanisms and programs across all districts sanitation zones. He urged for better field performance, organization of waste disposal schedules, and reallocation of workers, supervisors, and monitors, commending the significant efforts of sanitation workers and managers in waste collection and transportation.
He highlighted sanitation as a collective responsibility requiring dedication to elevate standards and make the capital a model city in this regard. Ubad also stressed the need for increased efforts in fieldwork and supervision, activating plans to improve sanitation standards, and enhancing the city's appearance.
The Mayor underscored the importance of forming effective partnerships with mosque preachers, community members, and youth initiatives. These partnerships aim to raise public awareness and promote community-led cleanliness campaigns, embedding cleanliness as a social norm and collective commitment.
