Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah on Sunday inspected the progress of the al-Maqaleh Street rehabilitation and maintenance project in al-Sabeen district, which has reached 98% completion. Miftah, accompanied by the Mayor of Sana'a, Dr. Hammoud Ubad, and the Undersecretary of the capital Sana'a for Public Works and Projects, Engineer Abdulkarim al-Houthi, reviewed the completed work on the project, which has a budget of 140 million riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is funded by the local authority and implemented by the Executive Unit for the Construction, Maintenance, and Development of Roads and Public Places in the Municipality. They received a briefing from the project manager, Engineer Bilal al-Imad, on the work completed Sunday, covering an area of 700 square meters. This included asphalt repairs to the deteriorated and damaged sections of al-Maqaleh Street, representing the final phase of the project.
Acting Prime Minister Miftah urged the Roads Executive Unit and engineers to expedite the completion of the project, emphasizing its importance to the residents of the area as a vital thoroughfare in the capital. He also urged the Capital Sana'a to prioritize the area and its damaged streets in rehabilitation and maintenance projects, in accordance with the urgent priorities plan, to improve services for citizens and facilitate traffic flow.
For his part, the Mayor of the Capital affirmed the commitment to continuing the implementation of service and development projects that meet citizens' needs, including road network improvement projects in the capital. He stressed the need to intensify efforts and complete projects according to the required technical specifications and quality standards.
