Acting Prime Minister Inaugurates Al-Kadan Bridge in Hodeidah Governorate

Hodeidah: The Acting Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, together with the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, and the Governor of Al Hudaydah, Abdullah Atifi, has inaugurated the Al-Kadan Bridge in Hodeidah. During the opening, they were accompanied by Member of Parliament Ali Baghwi and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Works for the Roads Sector, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi. They received an overview from the head of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, regarding the extent and nature of the work undertaken by the authority to complete this project, financed by the Road Maintenance Fund.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this bridge, which is situated on a crucial route linking the Hodeidah and Al Mahwit governorates. It benefits various areas, villages, and rural regions by improving traffic and transport. He expressed, "Thanks to Allah, this bridge has been completed, the implementation of which was delayed for more than 20 years, until Allah made the means possible, and we resolved to implement it as a priority project."

Scholar Miftah clarified that the Al-Kadan Bridge, which cost approximately one billion riyals, with 420 million riyals allocated for the final phase, marks a significant milestone and has commenced serving farmers and the governorates of Al Mahwit and Al Hudaydah at large. He highlighted the leadership and government's commitment to executing priority service and development projects that address the community's needs, contribute to its service, and alleviate its challenges.

Furthermore, the Minister of Transport and Public Works highlighted that roads and bridges are essential for development in any region and are vital service projects that significantly ease citizens' difficulties. Qahim commended the efforts of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges and the Road Maintenance Fund in executing this crucial project, alongside other road and bridge projects underway in Al Hudaydah Governorate and beyond.

In response, the Governor of Al Hudaydah noted that the Al-Kadan Bridge connects several districts: Al Mughlaf, Al Qanawis, Al Kadan in Hodeidah, and Milhan in Al Mahwit. It plays a crucial role in facilitating movement, boosting commercial activity, serving numerous farmers, and reducing the burden associated with transporting goods and agricultural products.
