Capital Secretariat Mayor Evaluates Progress of Road Rehabilitation in Azal District

Sanaa: Capital Secretariat Mayor Dr. Hamoud Abbad inspected on Monday the progress of a project to rehabilitate, restore, and maintain damaged roads in Azal District, at a cost of 100 million Yemeni riyals funded locally. Abbad reviewed the implementation of the surface concrete bridge in front of Naqm Central Market, extending 260 meters, as well as completed works under the project's first phase and the targeted neighborhood units.

According to Yemen News Agency, Abbad emphasized the significance of the project, which includes the concrete bridge and asphalt repairs covering 6,600 square meters of damaged sections on secondary and local roads in Naqm. These repairs extend from the Eastern Ring Road, through Kholan Street to the west, Al-Om Hospital Street to the south, and Naqm Market in Azal District.

Abbad urged the acceleration of work and the completion of the project according to required technical standards and quality specifications. This initiative aims to improve the targeted roads and facilitate traffic movement in the area.
