Administration & Local Development Ministry Initiates Field Visits to Evaluate Governorates’ Performance

Sana'a: The Ministry of Administration, Local, and Rural Development held a meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Deputy Minister Nasser Al-Mahdhar, to launch the field visits of the team tasked with assessing the performance of governorate offices and branches of executive bodies. During the meeting-which included the Ministry's Undersecretary for Rural Development, Ahmed Al-Haij, and members of the field assessment team-the Deputy Minister affirmed that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council and the Acting Prime Minister to follow up on the performance levels of the governorates.

According to Yemen News Agency, the field visits fall within the Ministry's supervisory and oversight responsibilities toward the governorates and districts, aimed at evaluating and reviewing their administrative, financial, developmental, and service-related performance. The first phase of the visits will cover four governorates over a period of 16 days.

Al-Mahdhar clarified that the team will review the tasks accomplished by governorate offices and branches of executive bodies, particularly those related to administrative and developmental performance, identifying shortcomings and ways to address them. The team will also develop a scheduled mechanism for implementing the visit's outcomes and improving future performance.

The team, chaired by the Deputy Minister, includes: Director of Administrative Unit Heads Affairs Khaled Ashish; Director of Island Development Khaled Dabash; Director of Elections and the Annual Conference Mohammed Rajeh; Director of Financial Resources Development Amin Al-Awadhi; Director of Community Initiatives Abdu Masri; and Deputy Director of Local Budgets Ahmed Al-Hanabsi.
