Admission and Comparative Exams Begin at Hajjah University Faculty of Medicine

Hajjah: The Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, alongside the President of Hajjah University, Dr. Taha Al-Hamzi, initiated the admission and comparative examinations for prospective students aiming to join the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences under the General System Human Medicine Division for the academic year 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sufi and Al-Hamzi, along with the University's Vice Presidents and the Secretary-General, reviewed the examination proceedings. They received insights from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Yahya Al-Qadi, about the preparations made to ensure the examinations are conducted transparently.

Governor Al-Sufi expressed his approval for the start of the admission and comparative exams, marking the third cohort's initiation, which encompasses most districts. He highlighted the governorate's need for more focus in the medical sector, viewing the exams as a significant progression.

Al-Sufi commended the University Presidency and the academic staff for their contributions in advancing the institution, acknowledging the ongoing transformation within the academic framework. He extended his wishes for continued success and support.

University President Dr. Al-Hamzi reported that 273 male and female students from various districts, including Socotra Governorate, are competing for 30 available seats. He emphasized the University's ongoing transformation and urged the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research to consider increasing the student intake capacity due to high demand from 31 districts.

Dr. Al-Hamzi regarded the comparative exam as crucial for selecting distinguished students capable of meeting health responsibilities efficiently, underscoring the importance of the process in maintaining educational standards.
