Sana'a: The Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Funding Unit and the Technical Education Sector in the Capital Secretariat organized a speech event today to commemorate the Prophet's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, and the Head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb. Al-Naqeeb highlighted the widespread participation from various segments of society in celebrating the Prophet's birthday, noting that this is a distinctive trait of the Yemeni people. He emphasized that the observance of this occasion showcases the Yemeni people's deep connection to the Prophet Muhammad since the dawn of Islam, aligning with Allah's commands.
Al-Naqeeb expressed that Yemenis are respected globally for their unique way of celebrating their Prophet. He urged everyone to express joy during this occasion, encourage participation in the central event on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal in Al-Sabeen Square, and follow the Prophet's example in daily life.
Abdullah Sharaf al-Din, Director of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Funding Unit, addressed the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birth, which serves as a motivation for the Yemeni people and their armed forces to strive for self-sufficiency and unity. He emphasized the occasion's role in promoting the emulation of the Prophet Muhammad and the importance of following his values and character.
The event concluded with the honoring of top graduates from technical institutes in the capital city, visual presentations on the Prophet Muhammad's birth and mission, a poem, a choral operetta, a play, and a television report on the achievements of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the capital.
