Sana'a: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources convened a comprehensive meeting on Tuesday to strategize for the forthcoming Ramadan and implement related program activities. During the session, Deputy Ministers for Marketing, Mr. Mohsen Aatif, and Animal Wealth, Dr. Abdul-Raouf Al-Shoukani, joined Deputy Minister for Services and Support, Mr. Murad Al-Shayef, who stressed the significance of preparing for Ramadan by focusing on initiatives that foster charity, social solidarity, and spiritual development through adherence to Islamic principles.
According to Yemen News Agency, Mr. Murad Al-Shayef urged commitment to executing Ramadan programs and advocated for spreading awareness about assisting those in need. He encouraged all participants to be actively involved in the program to maximize its benefits throughout the holy month. Al-Shayef also pointed out the chance Ramadan offers for personal growth, strengthening one's relationship with God, and applying Islamic teachings through actions and words.
Dr. Ibrahim al-Seraji, Deputy Minister for Plant Wealth, highlighted the importance of leveraging Ramadan by engaging in prayer, supplication, and reading the Qur'an. He also stressed the preparation and organization of Ramadan events that focus on instilling agricultural values and promoting the significance of tree planting.
The meeting evaluated several agricultural initiatives, including planting date seeds and various fruits, and enhancing farmer awareness on sustainable practices, pest control, soil protection, and proper irrigation techniques. Contributions from the head of the General Authority for Water Resources and other senior ministry officials emphasized the need for coordination and collaboration to ensure the success of Ramadan programs, thereby reinforcing social values of solidarity and charity during this sacred period.
